About Brad

Being a dad is the best thing I’ve ever done and the role I take most seriously. It’s also what makes everything else click. By day, I’m a software engineer with 19+ years in defense and aerospace — building mission-critical systems where failure isn’t an option. Fatherhood gave me the same mindset at home: show up, be steady, and build something that lasts.

I recharge outdoors — hiking, camping, or just being outside with my family. That same restless energy is how I ended up co-founding Alecraft Brewery. We started in Bel Air, MD in 2017 and opened our flagship location in Railroad, PA in 2022. Building a brewery from the ground up taught me as much about leadership and resilience as any engineering project ever has.

I play guitar, paint when the mood strikes, and nerd out on science — physics, astronomy, anything that makes you rethink how the world works. I’m also writing my first novel, a story about power, forbidden knowledge, and what happens when ancient secrets start to surface. Creativity and curiosity aren’t separate interests for me; they’re the same impulse pointed in different directions.
